Yoga Instructor
Alongside writing, I am a Vinyasa Yoga Instructor.
Following a career break in 2025 after my hectic role as Royal Correspondent at the UK’s best-selling Sunday newspaper, I qualified as a Yoga Instructor.
For me, yoga is a life-long passion. While I began practising in my teens to ease the pain of my scoliosis, I soon relished the mental peace it provided – both on and off the mat.

200 Hour Teacher Training
In March 2026 I completed my 200 Hours of Yoga Teacher Training at Frog Lotus Yoga International
Yoga Asana
I learned the Sanskrit names and alignment principles for Vinyasa and Hatha yoga asanas, including Sun Salutation poses, standing and balancing postures, inversions, backbends, hip-opening poses, twists, forward folds, cooling inversions and arm balances.
Teaching Methodology
I studied Vinyasa sequencing that aligns with thematic goals and students’ needs, with additional modules on restorative and pre-natal yoga.
Anatomy
I applied knowledge of the human body to understand the science behind yoga postures, including the skeletal structure, joints and joint stability, muscles and connective tissues, movement, the nervous system and respiration.
Philosophy
I dived into the ancient philosophy that underpins the practice of yoga, exploring Advaita Vedanta, the Bhagavad Gita and Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Yoga.
